Participant Experiences
Heard from Those Who Have Attended
These are the accounts of people who came to Anong Wealth at different points in their lives, with different questions. We share them as they were shared with us — plainly.

In Their Own Words
Malee Pongpan
Chiang Mai · Retired teacher
"I came to Entering Quietly not really knowing what to expect. I had been avoiding thinking about money for years — it felt too complicated, and I was afraid of making mistakes. Khun Anong was so patient. By the third session I felt like I actually understood my own bank account properly for the first time. That sounds small, but it was not small to me."

Somchai Wattana
Chiang Mai · Business owner, 54
"I did Finding Order after a friend told me about it. I have run my own business for twenty years, so I was not a complete beginner — but I had never organised my personal finances properly. The six weeks gave me a structure I have actually kept to. The midway check-in was useful; we adjusted a couple of things that were not working for my situation."

Nongkran Kaewsai
Lamphun · Civil servant
"The Inner Courtyard Programme was longer than I expected, but I am glad I stayed with it. The sessions on healthcare planning and the social security pension explained things I had never understood before. I now have a folder with a proper plan — not a complete plan, they are honest that you need a licensed advisor for that — but a real starting point."

Pranee Rattana
Chiang Mai · Healthcare worker, 47
"What surprised me most was the other people in the group. We were all in a similar position — not young, not yet retired, a bit uncertain about the future. That shared experience made it easy to ask questions that I would have been embarrassed to ask in a bigger class. I came back for Finding Order six months later."

Chatchai Buranasiri
Chiang Mai · Retired engineer, 61
"I was sceptical at first. I had been to a few financial seminars over the years and they always ended with someone trying to sell me something. There was none of that here. The content was straightforward, the pace was comfortable, and nobody pushed me to do anything. That alone made it worth attending."

Supatra Lueang
Chiang Rai · Self-employed, 50
"I drove in from Chiang Rai for each session. It was worth it. The printed quiet summaries are something I genuinely still use — I keep them in a folder and refer back to them. The session on Thai savings funds was particularly clear. I finally understood the difference between options I had been ignoring for years."

Participant Journeys
Three Quiet Stories
These are composites drawn from common themes in participant feedback — not single individuals.
The First-Time Learner
Programme: Entering Quietly
The Situation
A woman in her mid-forties had been managing her household finances by instinct for twenty years. She knew something was not quite right but could not say what.
What Happened
Over three sessions, she mapped her income and outgoings for the first time, and understood the difference between her current account and savings options she had not previously considered.
After the Programme
She opened a separate savings account, set up a modest monthly transfer, and returned eight months later for Finding Order.
"I stopped feeling like money was something that happened to me."
The Reluctant Planner
Programme: Finding Order
The Situation
A man in his early fifties had a stable income but no saving structure. He found financial language off-putting and had avoided engaging with it seriously.
What Happened
Finding Order provided a six-week framework he could follow without feeling overwhelmed. The midway check-in helped him realise one of his saving habits was working against him.
After the Programme
He restructured his saving into two separate funds and reported feeling significantly less anxious about money in general.
"I had expected it to feel like school. It did not feel like school at all."
The Thoughtful Planner
Programme: Inner Courtyard
The Situation
A couple in their late fifties wanted to think seriously about the next decade — retirement timeline, healthcare provision, and what they would leave for their children.
What Happened
The ten-week programme gave them language and frameworks to discuss these topics clearly. They understood what the state provides and where personal provision was necessary.
After the Programme
They left with a planning folder and used it as the basis for a meeting with a licensed financial advisor — a conversation they said they now felt equipped to have.
"We finally had the vocabulary to talk about these things with a professional."
